What an exciting year this is going to be! Grade two is a year that offers many great learning opportunities that are exciting and interesting for the students. One of my goal as your child's teacher is to engage your child in their daily learning and get them invested and excited about their own gains.
Teaching is my passion and it is the career path that I knew I was meant to take. I have done many different jobs since I began teaching. Most recently, I have taught kindergarten but I have also been a literacy coach, taught grades one to three and I even taught French for a year.
As a teacher I have high expectations of my students. I expect them to put their best effort into everything we do from daily activities to special projects. I will have goals for each student to meet and once your child achieves those goals, we will make new ones. Learning is constantly taking place in our class.
We are very lucky to have two other adults working in our class. Our educational assistants are Ms. Gillingham and Ms. McLeod. They assist all learners in our class. We are very fortunate to have them.
Bayview is a fantastic school and I hope you all feel welcome. You and I are a team and you are your child's first educator so I feel it is very important that we have great communication and you feel comfortable contacting me. If you ever have any questions or concerns, you can e-mail me at [email protected], send me a note or call the school at 658-5332.
